Fleurieu Ulysses Sunday Ride

I met the Fleurieu Ulysses Club today at Alma Hotel at 10:00am Willunga we went for a short 2 hr ride through windy roads only 4 of us. Mount Compass was the destination 12 km away shortest route we took 120k to get there.
light rain for the last 5km. This is a great area to ride, 180km for me today.

On the way from Strathalbyne to Robe SA yesterday about a 300km ride, started out with misty rain and ended up a warm sunny day, there were lots of straight road a ferry across the Murray River, and some beautiful lake (Coorong) beach and ocean views. Robe is stunning theis in the big Lobstor near Kingston.

Relocating today to Strathalybn

I had a great time 6 weeks in the Barossa Valley over Easter and the vintage festival, then 9 days in Perth catching up with friends and family. Today I am relocating to Strathalbyn in SA for winter, lots of great places to see, the Coorong, Victor Harbour, Kangaroo Island and McLaren Vale.

Mannum SA House Boats

Nice Ride on Sunday to Roland Flat to Mannum and back via Eden Valley, perfect weather, the views comming down to teh Maurray River at Mannum were great as were the luxury house boats on display in an idealic setting. Some nice wines on the way home, hey this is SA.

Barossa Valley SA

 

The Barossa Valley Sa, the premier wine region, had lunch at Morander Winery with som Harley riders from Vic, they were staying at the Novotel close buy so I checked it a=out as well. I am here for the next month may as well enjoy.

Mt Glorious and it is great ride yesterday at a friends 51st birthday near Toowomba today 2 hr ride from Brisbane over the mountain 22c up top beautiful day again today, will head back over the mountains to the Sunshine Coast Tonight.

UQ St Lucia

University of Queensland St Lucia, I was a student here 1980,81. Beautifil old sandstone buildings.

Glass House Mountains

300km ride today, Glass House Mountains, Maleny Montview, and Bribie Island on the way back to Brisbane, got caught in a thunderstorm near Caboolture, some great windy roads trees and views.

On a lookout between Balina and Byron Bay, I think the town is Lennox Heads.

Was a great day today the Queen Mary in in the Harbor and I caught up with Jim who I haven't seen for many years under the Harbor Bridge around the corner from his office in The Rocks

Peter from Brisbane having a ride in Sydney. We went from
Thornleigh to Avalon Beach and back dodging the rain.

I have been is Sydney since the 10th of Feb rained every day, whats going on.

Now in Sydney

I arrived on the 10th been wet cold and raining most of the time, arrived in the car with the bike in the trailer behind and its still in the trailer, not much point getting it out

In Mallacoota Inlet far East Victoria

Had some very hot weather, 39 C here on the coast with 46 C in Melbourne, I rode 45 mins Friday 30th Dandenong to Rosanna along the free way with the Bike was reporting 47 C I soaked my shirt before the ride started, I was thankful for my gear kept the heat at bay.
In the morning I noticed the bike stand had sunk 6cm into the asphalt. I have had a top box fitted and given the trailer a complete overhaul, new tyres and bearings, LCD lights replaced the cover zips and fitted rear caravan jacks.

Trailer to transport Pegasus

 

This is the trailer 8x4 to transport Pegasus, doing a run to Mallacoota this weekend to test it out, think it will tow well bought a handle bar sling to add to the tie downs, easy enough to ride it on and back it off, not much room left for anything else.
