Padthaway Estate Winery ~ tasting

Image
We met Craig from www.padthawayhomestead.com and tasted 11 of his wines today. It was an informative and enjoyable experiance, one not to be rushed, Craig poured generous samples and explained the journey of what we were tasting. 4 sparkling, enjoyed them all although I prefer flat wines. The whites were great, the unwooded and wooded chards 1st class. the Sav Blanc very different to the NZ style better to my palat The Rose the best one I have tasted, I don't normally like them but this one was good. His reds did not dissapoint I lked them all. It reminded me of doing a tasting with Bill Chambers in Rutherglen.. great to have the owner explain his product..
